Simplicity is key. WordPress was developed to take the guesswork out of creating content, ultimately opening up a great platform for easily publishing what you care about on the World Wide Web without having to learn all of that coding that you would otherwise have to rely on a Web development team to accomplish.

Again, WordPress.org says it pretty well:

Posts are the entries that display in reverse chronological order on your home page. In contrast to pages, posts usually have comments fields beneath them and are included in your site’s RSS feed.

To write a post:

1. Log in to your WordPress Administration Panel (Dashboard).
2. Click the Posts tab.
3. Click the Add New Sub Tab
4. Start filling in the blanks.
5. As needed, select a category, add tags, and make other selections from the sections below the post. Each of these sections is explained below.
6. When you are ready, click Publish.

Now that it is easier to publish information, it seems that everyone is doing just that, and it’s great. But with everyone talking, how do you get heard? Well, that’s where we come in. Packaged inside of our ‘Loaded’ version are tools to plug directly into your social networks. As you write and publish content, you can push it to your Facebook wall, Facebook Fan page, and Twitter. Then, as your network makes comments LWP will pull that information back into your site as comments, which you will always full control over.

Other options on the Post page include assigning tags and categories, summarizing your content with excerpts, send trackbacks, and customize content for SEO; all from one dashboard.
